Terms of Service
Last updated 8 October 2026
These terms cover your use of SourcePing: the Discord bot, the website and the web dashboard (together, the “Service”), sold and operated by SourcePing. By adding the bot to a server or signing in to the dashboard you agree to them.
The Service
SourcePing checks sources you choose — GitHub repositories, websites, RSS/Atom feeds and download pages — and posts announcements about changes into Discord channels you pick. Checks run on a schedule, so announcements are not instant and a change can occasionally be missed or reported late, for example when a source is unavailable or changes its format.
Your responsibilities
- Only add the bot to servers you manage, and only monitor sources you are allowed to access.
- Don’t use the Service to monitor private or access-controlled content, to overload a website, or for anything unlawful.
- Follow Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- You are responsible for what the bot is configured to post in your server.
Plans and billing
Each Discord server gets one free trial when the bot is first added — no payment details needed. After the trial, monitoring needs a paid plan. Plans are sold and billed through Whop, under Whop’s terms; limits and prices are shown in the dashboard and in /billing. Subscriptions renew until cancelled, and cancelling keeps paid features until the end of the current billing period. When a trial or subscription ends, monitoring pauses; your configuration is kept, not deleted, and resumes when you subscribe. One trial per server: removing and re-adding the bot doesn’t start a new one.
Availability and changes
We aim to keep the Service running reliably but don’t guarantee uninterrupted operation. We may change or discontinue features and will give reasonable notice of material changes to paid plans. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the Service or others at risk.
Third-party content
Announcements contain titles, text and links taken from the sources you monitor. That content belongs to its owners; SourcePing doesn’t endorse it and isn’t responsible for it.
Liability
The Service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, SourcePing is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for missed, late or incorrect announcements, and total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the three months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can’t be excluded.
Ending use
You can stop at any time by removing the bot from your server and cancelling any subscription. See the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
